We are excited to announce AKKA Project’s first participation in 1-54 New York 2025, bringing contemporary African art to a key global stage. Our booth will showcase Pamela Enyonu, Cyrus Kabiru, Filipe Branquinho, and Cecilia Lamptey Botchway.
Featured Artists:
Pamela Enyonu (Uganda) – Mixed-media artist exploring empowerment, resilience, and identity, with works acquired by Ca’ Pesaro International Gallery of Modern Art, Venice.
Cyrus Kabiru (Kenya) – Internationally recognized for his C-Stunners wearable sculptures, reimagining sustainability and innovation. His work is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET), New York.
Filipe Branquinho (Mozambique) – Photographer and mixed-media artist focusing on culture, identity, and power dynamics, with notable exhibitions at Venice Biennale and MUSEC Lugano.
Cecilia Lamptey Botchway (Ghana) – Mixed-media artist addressing womanhood and heritage through textured portraits and textile-making, with exhibitions at Art X Lagos, Prizm Art Fair, and AKAA Paris.
