Africa 1:1 LAB, The Outcome: Group Exhibition

AKKA Project is extremely pleased to announce and to show the outcome of the Artists' Residency Program, Africa 1:1 LAB, in collaboration with Africa First and supported by Ca' Pesaro, International Gallery of Modern Art of Venice.

The five selcted artists, Pamela Enyonu, Alexandre Kyungu, Ngugi Waweru, Option Nyahunzvi, Maina Boniface, have spent more than two months in Venice, transforming AKKA Project gallery in their atelier, and working on new works with fresh inspiration and motivation from the lagoon city and from the Ca' Pesaro permanent art collection. 

The exhibition showcases some of the inedited canvases, installations and projects the artists conceived and realized during their stay in Venice, revealing the artistic, creative and personal goals they pursued during Africa 1:1 LAB - Artists' Residency Program.

AKKA Project is more than happy to open its doors  to Africa 1:1 LAB - The Outcome, opening on May 18th, 2023, on the occasion of the official inauguration of the 18th Venice Architecture Biennale, and running until the end of the month.
