Located at Quoz 1, one of the most culturally vibrant neighborhoods in Dubai, and in Venice, AKKA Project is a concept by Lidija Kostic Khachaturian, who is also the founder of “Art and About Africa”. Lidija is an expert who focuses on African Contemporary Art in all its forms; she always seeks for emerging talents from South-Africa to Morocco whom she has been promoting on the five continents through events and exhibitions in Dubai and Venice since 2016. Over the last few years, AKKA Project has been increasingly interested in art photography and photo reporting. Among the photographers represented, besides Filipe Branquinho, Mo Amin is also very interesting.

Born in 1977 in Maputo, Mozambique, where he lives and works, Filipe Branquinho is best known for his photography, but he also produces paintings and drawings.
Branquinho merges landscape and portrait taking inspiration from architectural photography and the Mozambican photography school.

L’AUTORE
Nato a Maputo, in Mozambico, nel 1977, dove vive e lavora, Filipe Branquinho è conosciuto principalmente per le sue fotografie, ma realizza anche anche dipinti e disegni. Branquinho fonde paesaggio e ritratto prendendo ispirazione dalla fotografia di architettura e la “scuola” di fotografia mozambicana.
