Overview
BOOTH W13
Following the success of its participation in 1-54 New York, AKKA Project is thrilled to announce our return to 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair in London. The fair will take place from 16 to 19 October 2025.

For this edition, we will present a dynamic trio of artists - Cyrus Kabiru, Pamela Enyonu, and Beau Disundi Nzazi - each contributing new works that reflect their evolving practices and unique perspectives on contemporary African identity.

Cyrus Kabiru (Kenya) is internationally known for his sculptural eyewear and upcycled installations, which blur the boundaries between art, design, and technology. His practice speaks to themes of innovation, environmental consciousness, and Afrofuturism.
Pamela Enyonu (Uganda) works primarily in mixed media, using fabric, collage, and paint to explore gender, healing, and emotional resilience. Her textured compositions are deeply personal and socially resonant.
Beau Disundi Nzazi (Democratic Republic of Congo) creates multimedia works that capture the complexity of Congolese identity, weaving together abstraction and symbolism in response to urban realities and cultural memory.

Our participation in 1-54 London reaffirms AKKA Project’s dedication to supporting and amplifying diverse African voices on the global stage. You’ll find us at BOOTH W13 - we look forward to welcoming you in London this October and sharing these bold new works during one of the most exciting weeks in the international art calendar.
