We are proud to announce that our artist Alexandre Kyungu Mwilambe is currently exhibiting at the First International Environmental Art Biennale, held at the Volga-Vyatka branch of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow.
The exhibition, titled “Terra/Planetario”, explores the Earth as a complex, multilayered system in which humans represent only one element of a vast network of interactions. Through a dual perspective, the project addresses contemporary environmental challenges on both a global scale — observing the planet from cosmic heights and highlighting the overwhelming phenomena of climate change, ocean pollution, and electronic waste — and a local level, focusing on specific manifestations of these issues.
Artists in the show use innovative approaches, including media scaling and technological “filters,” to rethink our relationship with the planet beyond physical reality. The exhibition also delves into the microcosm, revealing hidden connections between living organisms and emphasizing a non-anthropocentric, symbiotic vision of nature.
The Eco.Biennale aims to position ecology as a unifying theme for our fragmented world, inviting viewers to engage in reflection and a metaphorical journey towards a deeper connection with the environment.
Alexandre Kyungu Mwilambe’s participation reflects our commitment to supporting art that challenges and expands awareness about humanity’s place within the planetary ecosystem.
