Contemporary Ethiopia: Group Exhibition

AKKA Project is thrilled to announce its participation in the tenth edition of Quoz Arts Fest, happening in Dubai on January 28th and 29th, 2023. 

Quoz Arts Fest (popularly known as QAF) is an annual celebration across the industrial area of Al Quoz, with a central gathering point in Alserkal Avenue. It is the only festival in Dubai where art, food, live music, performance and educational activations converge.

This year, AKKA Project is bringing to QAF an outstanding array of artworks by Ethiopian artists within the group exhibition Contemporary Ethiopia, showing from January 28th to February 28th, 2023, at AKKA Project Dubai.

The participating artists Ashenafe Mestika, Natnael Ashebir, Micheal Hailu, Kidane Getaw, Leikun Nahusenay, and Workneh Bezu are all young talents who have made a mark through their skill, exploring themes from their country of origin in their captivating works.

To add to the excitement, AKKA is hosting Micheal Hailu to spend some time at AKKA Project Dubai. During his time with us, Michael will spend his days talking to visitors and neighbours, concluding in a conversational permanence during the opening day.
