Allan Kioko Kenya, b. 1994

Biography
"There is always a need for artistic solutions. Whatever the problem is, it is up to you as an artist to come up with ways of how to solve it without limiting yourself."
Allan 'Think' Kioko is a visual artist, illustrator and muralist based in Nairobi, Kenya.
He is an expressive painter and a lover of bold strokes, color and texture. His artwork is done using acrylic on canvas and watercolor on paper, deemed as thought provoking, humorous and sometimes controversial. He draws inspiration from his own life experiences and places he's been to.
Kioko is famous also for his mural paintings around Nairobi's low income areas of Mathare, Korogocho, Baba Dogo among others, with his new graffiti crew 'Clan of A Can'.
Allan Kioko has been awarded with a commendation at the MASK prize competition in 2018, and came in second at the Manjano Art Competition in 2019. Kioko is also an aspiring art tutor and mentor and has taught art at the Aga Khan Primary School's Deaf Unit.
