Peteros Ndunde Kenya, b. 1996

Biography

"My work explores the experiences of daily life and the enormous ripple effects that flow from these seemingly "life actions"."

Peteros Ndunde was born in 1996 in Kenya and currently lives and works in Nairobi.
He is studying for a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at Kenyatta University, Nairobi.
His inspiration comes from his personal daily experiences and he is interested in fundamental human interactions and their social impacts. He uses different media but drawing remains its main one. As Analytical Cubism breaks down natural forms and reformulates them into geometric forms, Peteros combines multiple perspectives of the human body into an image to stage human behavior in a minimalist way, false reflections of more complex and more complex emotional systems.
As he says: ”Most daily interactions have enormous psychological and social consequences for an individual and, indeed, for society in general. As such, my minimalist approach in the work becomes a metaphor for the complexities of my subjects, that preserve a facade of simplicity.
