Collide at Featherstone Centre for the Arts

Featuring Cyrus Kabiru

AKKA Project is thrilled to announce that our artist, Cyrus Kabiru, has been selected to participate in the Collide exhibition at the Featherstone Centre for the Arts in Massachusetts, running from August 6th and extended until September 10th, 2023.

Collide is a unique exhibition curated by guest curator Kara Taylor at the Francine Kelly Gallery at Featherstone, that celebrates the diverse artistic expressions emerging from the African Continent. It provides a platform for artists to connect, collaborate, and share their narratives with a global audience. Being chosen as one of the participants is a testament to Cyrus Kabiru's remarkable artistic vision and his ability to captivate viewers with his distinctive style.

The kenyan artist is participating with a selection of his most renowned works, including the famous C-Stunners together with self-portrait photographs wearing them, and radios, all coming from AKKA Project in Venice.

We are incredibly proud of Cyrus' achievement and recognize the significance of his inclusion in this show. We believe that his participation will not only contribute to the vibrant art scene in Africa but also foster cultural exchange and dialogue between artists from different backgrounds.
